Rats are the stuff of nightmares and the stuff of daydreams. They can be
creepy crawly in the sewer or cute and cuddly in your lap. In the minds of
humans they can embody evil and disgust or devotion and love. Rats have got
it all! In a world where the ignorance and hatred of humans has devastated
so many species, the rat is not only surviving, it's thriving. No matter
what we throw at them, rats always out smart us. They adapt with ease to
this ugly, unnatural, dying world we've created for ourselves. For that
alone they deserve admiration. But they can do more! Rats can be wonderful
companions to the very species that so often tries to drive them from the
face of the earth. They are intelligent, loving, playful, inquisitive,
cute, easy to care for, and best of all, they have sexynakedtails! (Yes, you
have to say it like that, all one word, sexynakedtails!)

She started out as a character for a Werewolf: The Apocalypse game that I never actually got to play in, but now she's become more than that. But anyway, here's my Angel rattie, who, unlike the character she's named after, isn't mute and didn't have the misfortune of being born a lab rat. Lucky her. |

| Tyler is named after Tyler Durden, the character in Fight Club, the best movie ever. I really need to read the book sometime. Actually I also have another wererat character named Tyler, who happens to be a black hooded, so I guess this guys actually named after him, and he's named after Tyler Durden. Heh. Whatever. |

| Roxy came out of the adoption center while I was looking for a hooded rat, but I just couldn't resist her, she's so cute with that blaze and Irish markings. I'm a sucker for blazed rats. I dunno why I named her Roxy, it just seemed to fit. |

| It's a rainbow rat! How kick ass is that? So, yeah, rainbow petz are uber cool, and rats are uber cool, so that makes rainbow ratz just about the coolest thing ever, at least in my opinion. And he's got a cute little head spot! He's so cute I could just eat him. And to think I came up with the idea to hex him while incredibly sick and miserable and muzzy headed. |

| Solid black rats are sexy! At least I think so, I hope you think so too. I decided I needed a solid black rat, so I got one. I don't know why I named her Brooklyn, I just think it sounds cute. And many years later, I have come up with the perfect formal name for Brooklyn. I had no idea I would give her this formal name when I adopted her all those years ago, it just happened to work out perfectly. No Sleep Till Brooklyn is a Beastie Boys song, but more importantly, it is something me and my boyfriend say to each other. It's sort of an inside joke, but not really a joke, just an odd phrase that we say at certain times. It makes sense to us though, trust me. ;) |

| I wanted an odd eyed rat because I love odd eyes, of course. Even though they are quite rare in rats, I had to have one. So I hexed Ever. She's not complicated, just has a nice big blaze and is a pretty dusty color. Her formal name comes from a David Bowie song from the movie Labyrinth, one of my all time favorite movies. |

| Nezi is a funky little rat! I got her in a trade with Rat. XD She's neat cuz she's all black and scruffy, and look at her long nose! I love the way she looks. I named her Nezi as kinda short for Nezumi, which means rat in Japanese. |

| I love rats! And I love to hex ratz. I'm surprised they are not more popular. But anyway, I hexed a litter of wizard themed rats and Sorcery was the one I kept for myself. I made a version of the wizard texture that is greyscale and used it for the hairless parts of the rat, and gave them special hooded markings in greyscale. I'm quite happy with them, and I love my Sorcery! |

| I made a second version of my rainbow rats, one of my early hexies. This version is hooded rats with rainbows at the edge of their hooded markings. I really love my rainbow ratz so much. If you can't tell I have lots of rainbow petz, hehe. What can I say, I love rainbows. ;) I really love the eye colors I gave Spectrum, it's an unusual combo but I think it works. |

| I saw a rat in a small animal supply catalog that had the most amazing markings, I wished I could have it. So I decided to have one like it in my petz game. I hexed this sexy ratter right here. But if you notice he is not first gen, he's second gen. I like having my special hexies have lineage so I bred two of my rats then hexed the pet file of their offspring to look like this. I named him Radcliffe because a fancy sounding name just seemed perfect for him. |

| My zombie rat! No one else I know has made a zombie rat! At least, not at the time I made Vore. Vore is very detailed, so I made him a bit bigger than regular ratz. I made him very skinny with lines to show his ribs under the skin, several sewn up places, lots of patches of missing fur. His tail and feet are bare bones, I made his tail longer and added balls to it to show all the vertebrae, that was quite complicated to do, and I thank Vickie of Vickie's Petz Zoo for helping me with that. I also added his spine and some ribs at the top on both sides showing, as if his skin had sunken and rotted away from the top down. Half his face is gone leaving only skull, and his eyes are empty sockets with evil red glow in them. He only has one ear and it's missing a chunk out of it. I gave him long rectangular rodent teeth with blood on the tips. The over all look is supposed to be of an old, aged zombie that's rotting away slowly. In contrast to my cat zombie, Rigor Mortis, that I hexed at the same time. I made them kind of to go together, inspired by the song Dragula by Rob Zombie.
