The Papillons

On graceful butterfly wings they fly into your heart.  They're stunning beauty and delicate grace will hook you with one look.  Such elegance and breath taking beauty is unsurpassed in the entire dog world.  But don't' let that dainty and refined look fool you.  Inside that pretty package is a lively spirit with a passion for life and unbridled love of her companions that is as vibrant as her good looks.  Don't ever call her just a lap dog.  Because if she could talk she'd tell you, "A lap dog?  Hah!  I could run circles around a border collie, I can perform agility with the best of them, I can go anywhere and do anything!  Brains, beauty, athleticism, devotion, I've got it all!  And what do you mean I'm a small dog?"

Papillons are my favorite dog breed.  I fell in love with their beauty the first time I saw a picture of one in a dog book.  Over time my interest in them has grown, and the more I learn about them the more I love them.  I've never owned a pure bred dog before, but some day I hope to own a papillon.  I'd like to maybe compete in agility, and have a lively little companion that will go everywhere with me!  Well, everywhere that allows dogs anyway.  :D  Until then, I will enjoy the adorable papillons in petz!

My first Pappy!  Papillons are my absolute favorite breed of dog, and I hope to own a real one someday.  I think sable is my favorite color of papillon, but of course all paps are beautiful.  Windy is named after a particular line in the song Unheard, by Boy Hits Car that just really struck me, and I thought it was a perfect name for a butterfly dog!

Another beautiful doggie named after a Boy Hits Car song.  I find it kind of funny that my first two papillons are named after BHC, since you'd think their style of music wouldn't fit such an elegant, adorable little dog.  But these particular lyrics did seem like really good names for pappies.  Anyway, I tried to hex Freedom to resemble a real papillon I saw pictures of and just fell in love with, Firerose Andvari.  Freedom didn't end up looking much like him, but I think he turned out good anyway.

Look, a papillon not named after Boy Hits Car!  Imagine is named after the Evanescence song Imaginary.  I love that song cuz it fits me so well.  It's just exactly me.  And I thought Paper Flowers was just a really cute name and somehow fitting for a pappy.  Gray papillons don't exist in real life, but at the time I hexed Imagine, they were allowed in the PKC, so I thought, why not?

Gilded Wings, Gabriel

Isn't Gabriel pretty?  Well I think so.  His markings may look simple, but he actually took quite a while to hex.  He was hexed to resemble a real papillon I found a picture of that was absolutely stunning.  While looking at Papillon pictures I found another dog named Gabriel, and then I thought up his formal name cuz papillon ears look like wings, and his are kinda golden, so. . . it fit.
